Ryuta Shigematsu (重松(しげまつ)リュウタ, Shigematsu Ryūta^?) is a Kozanese member of the Kozanese Royal Defense Force, having been recruited at the age of 14.

He appears at the end after Fred Fawkes is defeated.

Name emythology[ | ]

Ryuta is a masculine given name that can have many meanings. The name is comprised of two kanji, and the first character can be written as 竜, 隆 (through its onyomi pronunciation), or 龍, with the first and third characters meaning dragon respectively, and the second being noble. The second character is written as 太, meaning thick. When translated directly, the name means either thick dragon or thick noble. His surname, Shigematsu, literally means respectful pine tree.

Early life[ | ]

Shigematsu was born on September 20, 1989, as the youngest of two children. He has an older sister named Naoko Shigematsu (born in 1981). He began practicing kyudo at a young age.

Drafting into the KRDF[ | ]

In the spring of 2004, alongside Kumiko Uchida, Shigematsu intercepted Susumu Takajima and Kagami Ochiai's mission to defeat Fred Fawkes and destroy the stronghold he was living in. Later the same year in the summer, he was formally recruited into the Kozanese Royal Defense Force by Susumu Takajima. He was a member in the operation to find the three remaining escapees from that prison break in Kanjotaki, New Saitama.

Attacks[ | ]

Dragon's Beam (竜(りゅう)のビーム, Ryū no Bīmu^?): a slower attack that can fire more powerful bullets, dealing with the exact same damage. It spreads heat over a wide area, and it was originally developed by cavemen.

Appearance[ | ]

Ryuta's appearance consists of blonde hair and green eyes. Being a kyudoka, he is often depicted wearing a traditional black hakama over a green short-sleeved kimono.
